Acai berry scams have quite literally taken over the internet. With a simple search you may find tons of ads in front of your face. With all of these ads promising so much it’s hard not to get caught up in the possibilities of losing so much weight. The history of the acai berry is very rich. It was first found by the natives of the Amazon rain forest and they have used it for thousands of years in order to keep them in peak physical shape. The “bitter berry” as it’s sometimes called came to North America around the late 80′s but due to it’s bitter taste most didn’t bother to even try it. Thanks to major discoveries in science they were able to get all the nutrients of the acai berry inside a pill capsule. Once this was made available to the public acai literally took off. But a few con men decided to get in on the money being spent on this new acai berry. They decided to offer the berry to consumers in the form of a free trial – they’d offer the free trial as long as the consumer paid the shipping costs. Once the consumer entered the shipping information they would be billed every few weeks whether the consumer wants to keep going or not! Some con men saw this as an opportunity to make boat loads of money so they made websites offering free trials of the acai berry as long as the consumer paid shipping and handling. Once the consumer paid with their credit card they were foreced into a billing sequence where they would be billed every two weeks. Spotting acai berry scams is not a tough thing to do. Just make sure you don’t buy any product that is very costly or that has a free trial. Although acai is a great way to feel better and lose weight the way some people market it is just terrible. By doing your homework you can easily avoid acai berry scams.
