Are Acai Berry Scams Dying?

by acai-scam on January 24, 2010

Am I the only one who has seen a decrease in the amount of scams out there? I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen an acai berry ad – maybe all the press has finally made an impact on all of these terrible scams that cut right to the throat and take your money.

Just look at this article and then re-read my homepage here. Because of things like this the word is getting out there and I think people are starting to sit back and think to themselves that maybe this whole acai thing is all a scam and that maybe, if you want to buy it, to get it straight from the store.

I mean it only makes sense, right?

But in a way I feel kind of bad for this whole acai berry thing. As this article points out very clearly this type of advertising has gone on for hundreds of years in different forms of media – like newspapers, magazines, etc. So why pick on the internet guys?

I voted for the current administration, but now I’m really questioning where my vote will go next time. (Probably to Ron Paul if he ever got a chance.)

It’s because, even though these scams are terrible, who said the government had the right to come in a play big brother? We’re all adults here we should be able to do our own research and not fall for these scams no matter how good they may seem.

I don’t know everybody. That’s just my thoughts – I see a big government, big spending, big deficits, and big tax hikes and I think to myself that this is NOT the America I grew up in. That is not the fundamentals preached in school - economics 101 to spur spending lower taxes. Now their saying we’re out of this all and are raising taxes! Um, sorry, but that huge deficit and unemployment rate aren’t helping anybody.
