So I talk quite a bit about acai berry scams and how to avoid them. But I want to really go on a rant here – I want everyone to know how I really feel.
On one hand I’m mad, obviously, that these scams exist. I mean what a sin it is to make sure terrible acai berry scams and then sell them to consumers and force them to pay much, much more then they ever imagined.
But on the other hand, and hear me out, it’s partially all of our faults. We buy into these scams without doing any research, without understanding what the product is.
Sometimes, instead of going and crying to the FTC or Attorneys General, we have to look in the mirror cause ultimately we were the ones stupid enough to believe their promises. With a simple Google search or overview of their TOS we would’ve seen what charges were going to come against us.
There’s no doubt about it.
I think most people, myself included, become embarrassed that we lost so much money in such a stupid way. How on earth do you explain that all to your spouse? It’s time for us all to move on a little bit. To stop going to the government for help and start doing things ourselves.
The industry, thanks to all the press — not the government, is apparently getting pretty cleaned up. I don’t know for sure but this is just what I heard. And I love hearing that!
Now products, like the second one I tried, really rock and people are genuinely loving them. When we look at ourselves as the problem we can begin to see the faults and how to improve on them.
Now I know some people who have tried these acai berry scams before. And trust me they would never try any acai product, even if it was the best thing in the world, ever again.
I needed to learn from my mistake and not let that one mistake get the best of me. And that’s exactly what I did. I didn’t let the scam ruin my acai experience forever. I went right back out there — did my homework this time and am loving the results.
I’m loving this song and it’s appropriate. We need to change our way of thinking. Don’t you think?
