Seeing an opportunity some con artists got together and decided to give away free trials of different acai products as long as the consumer paid shipping and handeling. But however once the consumer did so the con artists would start charging the consumers credit card for sometimes hundreds of dollars.
Quickly thousands of women started to complain on scam boards about this sort of thing and it looked as though acai might have started to die already.
Luckily there were still a few good advertisers out there and through word of mouth they continued to grow and offer great products at a great price.
Here are some ways to spot an acai berry scam:
1) Free Trial.
There are some real good free trial products out there and there are some real bad free trial products. As soon as you see the words “free” make sure to look very closely at the fine print.
2) Age.
Chances are if the product is new there hasn’t been that many people that have tried it. Older products tend to be better products because scams come and go so quickly. Try and pick products that are provided by companies that have been around for awhile.
3) Reviews.
Nothing beats honest reviews of a product. Try Googling the name of whatever acai product your interested in and see what kind of reviews are out there. Chances are a few of the people will be fake but you can usually tell who’s telling the truth and who isn’t.
There’s no real secret to avoiding acai berry scams. As long as you stick to the rules above you’ll have no problems at all.
